About the Role 
As the Controller for Vehicle Stock at Ford Germiston, you will oversee the management of vehicle inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. This role focuses on optimizing stock levels and inventory processes, facilitating efficient operations within the dealership's stock management system.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee vehicle inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of all stock movements.
- Conduct regular audits of vehicle stock to ensure data integrity and compliance with dealership standards.
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to enhance stock accuracy and reduce excess inventory.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management for decision making.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of vehicle stock with financial records to support accurate reporting.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, variances, and stock forecasting.
- Train and mentor staff on inventory management best practices and policies.
- Proven track record in inventory management or stock control, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey information effectively to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience with ERP systems specific to the automotive industry.
- Relevant certification in inventory management or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices related to vehicle stock management.
