Position information

Job Description:

  • Perform detailed control and instrumentation engineering designs, calculations, and system configurations for mineral processing and heavy industrial projects
  • Develop C&I technical documentation including scopes of work, instrument specifications, material take-offs, and datasheets
  • Support the drafting team in producing instrumentation, control system, and loop drawings aligned to process plant requirements
  • Coordinate technical interfaces across disciplines to ensure seamless integration within process plant environments
  • Prepare tender documentation, review vendor data (including instrument datasheets and I/O schedules), and support procurement of C&I equipment
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years' post-graduate experience in control and instrumentation engineering within mineral processing, process plants, or related heavy industrial sectors
  • Strong understanding of plant instrumentation, control systems, and integration within processing facilities
  • Working knowledge of SANS and applicable international design codes and standards
  • Strong analytical and technical capability with the ability to deliver within budget and schedule constraints
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong multidisciplinary stakeholder relationships
Qualifications
  • Minimum BTech in Electrical Engineering
  • Registration as an ECSA Professional Engineering Technologist advantageous

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Salary: Annually

Eligibility: Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
