Contracts Manager

Location: Cape Town & Paarl (Site-based with office coordination)

The client (to be made known upon application) is a private-sector construction company specialising in large-scale residential estates and apartment buildings. Our projects are exclusively for private clients, with a strong reputation for quality delivery in the Western Cape.

We are looking for an experienced Contracts / Construction Manager to take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of large residential projects. The successful candidate will have a proven background in managing high-value developments and leading site teams through complex builds.

• Overall management of construction projects from start to completion
• Full responsibility for programme, quality, safety, and cost control
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and QS teams
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and building regulations
• Oversee high-rise residential construction ( 10 storeys)
• Report on progress, risks, and budgets to senior management
• Maintain strong client and consultant relationships

• 15 years' experience in site/construction management
• Previous employment at a reputable construction company (e.g. WBHO, H&I, or similar)
• Proven experience as a manager on large-scale projects (R250m+)
• Experience in high-rise residential buildings
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability
• Solid understanding of construction contracts and programmes

• Stable employment history (no frequent job-hopping)
• Age 55 years or younger
• Professional qualifications in Construction Management or related field
