Contracts Administrator - Mining and Construction environment

KOCH Solutions Africa, a bulk materials handling specialist organization is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator - Mining and Construction environment to understand and manage complex legal documentation regarding service contracts with clients that align with clients, suppliers, company goals and industry standards.

• Contract Development & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate mining contracts with suppliers, contractors, and partners.
• ISO Compliance: Ensure contracts integrate ISO requirements for quality, safety, and environmental management.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with South African mining and labour legislation.
• Performance Monitoring: Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and ISO standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with legal, procurement, operations, and HR teams to align contracts with organizational objectives.
• Audit & Reporting: Maintain accurate records for internal audits, ISO accreditation, and external regulatory inspections.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to contract management processes in line with ISO's continuous improvement principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, or Mining Engineering (postgraduate qualification advantageous). Technical degree can also be considered provided strong knowledge of contract management.
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in contract management within the mining sector.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, GCC contract formats.
• Familiarity with South African mining legislation and labour law.
• Proven negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of Bulk Materials Handling would be an advantage.
