SALARY: Total Annual Package (CTC) - R345,121.00
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To support Divisions/Departments in complying with the regulatory requirements (laws, regulations) and supervisory requirements (rules, codes and self-regulatory organisational standards) applicable to ICASA by facilitating the implementation, management and maintenance of the compliance methodology planning, coordination and consultation; and strategic initiatives.
Key OutputsThe successful candidate will report to the Risk and Compliance Management Specialist and their responsibilities will include:
- Conducting formal Compliance Risk Profile workshops to identify and assess the total universe of regulatory requirements applicable to ICASA.
- Conducting informal Compliance Risk Profile reviews to identify new regulatory requirements and amend and/or update existing Compliance Risk Profile/s accordingly in support of the overall ICASA Compliance Risk Profile.
- Compliance Monitoring
- Logging all compliance findings on the Compliance Issues Log, managing and tracking the progress made by the business unit/ department in closing the finding/s and ensuring that the Compliance Issues Log accurately reflects all amendments, supporting the integrity of the data reported to the relevant governance committees.
- Compliance Reporting and Communication
- Conducting research, training, workshops and presentations on topical matters.
- 3- or 4-year Degree or Diploma in Law
- Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) will be an added advantage
- Minimum 2 to 3 years relevant practical compliance management work experience
- Understanding of legislations such as ICASA Act, Broadcasting Act, PFMA, King Reports on Corporate Governance principles (King V, POPI, etc.)
