The resort offers two Hilton properties: Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown. Team members work across both properties.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Commis Chef, you will utilize your creative flair and passion for food to ensure high quality food production for hotel outlets, meeting Hilton standards. You will work autonomously and manage your time and workspace accordingly, preparing daily required food for various culinary operations within the hotel.
- Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
- Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure food stuffs are of good quality and stored correctly
- Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues as well as comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
