Commercial Underwriter - Versma Management Services (Pty) Ltd

A well-established Administration House is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our team in our Bellville office. The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for client service, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to consistently exceeding expectations. We are looking for a team player who thrives under pressure and embraces the principles of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) in all interactions.

Minimum Requirements
  • Matric
  • NQF Level 4/5 Short-Term Insurance Qualification (advantageous)
  • Fit and Proper status in terms of the FAIS Act (advantageous)
  • 3 to 5 years short term insurance underwriting experience in Commercial Lines
  • Proven experience with Commercial and Agricultural short-term products, including binder agreements
  • Proficient PC literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both English and Afrikaans
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities

As this is a non-advice giving position, a full qualification is not a pre-requisite but advantageous
