Qualifications / Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree (B-Degree) with a relevant postgraduate qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a commercial role
- Prior experience in the Freight, Logistics or Maritime industry will be advantageous

The role entails commercial engagements, as well as the consolidation of Transformation and ESG reports and the provision of support on risk and insurance matters:
- Assist the Commercial Director with strategic business development projects, as well as divisional strategic initiatives, when required
- Submit compelling proposals for business opportunities within the freight sector and related industries, with a clear understanding of the role of Head Office support
- Research and screen tenders and requests for proposals/information/quotations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.), noting that business units typically take the lead on this function where required, by business units
- Final review and approval will be conducted by the Commercial Director and relevant stakeholders
- Compiling, updating and managing ESG reporting templates and distributing them to business units.
- Collating and communicating information required for ESG submissions including updates, requirements, ethics line cases and scores
- Monitor submissions, as well as reviewing, verifying, and consolidating divisional ESG reports
- Maintain ESG clarification and adjustment schedules
- Prepare ESG Committee meeting packs and taking minutes during ESG Committee meetings
- Compiling, updating and managing transformation reporting templates and distributing them to business units
- Monitoring submissions, as well as reviewing, balancing and consolidating divisional Transformation workbooks
- Assist with coordinating and managing training on the platform
- Circulating meeting invitations and report reminders
- Monitoring submissions and consolidating divisional operational reports and risk register for inclusion in the Risk Committee meeting pack
- Taking minutes during Risk Committee meetings
- Assist with the insurance risk survey process and monitor divisional feedback
- In conjunction with brokers' risk management consultants, prepare quarterly reports on the risk survey process for inclusion in the Risk Committee pack
- CAR and GPA: Prepare and distribute templates to business units, review and
- consolidate submissions, verify renewals and premiums and ensure timeous payment
- Marine liability and marine impact: Assist with annual premium allocation to business units and support declaration processes
- Insurance: Assist with declaration processes
- Distribute insurance confirmations to business units
- Liaise with business units and insurance brokers (in coordination with the Head of Legal, depending on claim type and value)
- Arrange and attend quarterly meetings between business units and claims managers to review outstanding matters
- Assist with resolving complex or contentious claims
- Maintain and update claims statistics received from brokers and compile quarterly claims reports for the Risk Committee pack
- Monitor broker communications, assist with quarterly agendas and attend broker service meetings in support of the Head of Legal and Risk
- Attend and take minutes at cell meetings and support the Head of Legal and Risk with cell management responsibilities, including oversight of regulatory matters and claims reserves
- Tender and Bid management (mainly at Head Office and or as when required by the businesses)
