RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in sales environment.
  • Microsoft D365 experience would be beneficial
  • Diploma/Degree would be advantageous
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales and / or Management would be beneficial

JOB DESCRIPTION & PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Client Services Team Leader will take full responsibility for building, leading and strengthening high-performing Internal Sales and Sales Admin teams across SAOPS & Exports.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
  • Direct management of Internal Sales and Sales Admin staff.
  • Conduct structured performance reviews with all Client Services Representatives.
  • Implement, monitor and manage measurable KPI's and Career Guides.
  • Drive staff training, coaching, and ongoing team development.
  • Manage underperformance in a fair, structured, and compliant manner.
  • Support Internal Client Services Representatives with decision-making, quotations, invoicing, and D365 processes.
  • Retain and strengthen relationships with key clients.
  • Ensure effective communication and healthy working relationships across departments and with external customers.
  • Assist product heads with CRCO pricing and pricing structures.
  • Maintain an extensive understanding of Local SPE's and pricing structures.
  • Understand import pricing conversions, including R/$ exchange rates, import duties, clearing and shipping costs.
  • Produce push lists to reduce overstocked and aged stock line items.
  • Manage and oversee the virtual GAU warehouse and accountable personnel.
  • Control GAU claims in collaboration with Supply Chain.
  • Track purchase orders and ensure accurate stock receipting.
  • Compile stock tracing reports and identify responsible parties where required.
  • Facilitate transfers to external warehouses.
  • Obtain relevant test certificates for coils.
  • Assist with linking orders to production (Plate Cutting, Sheet Cutting, Slitting, etc.).
  • Process credit notes in the absence of Internal Sales Admin staff.
  • Ensure company systems, controls, and procedures are maintained and continuously reviewed to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Support and enforce D365 compliance and best practice usage within the department.
  • Support accurate and timeous quotations, invoicing, and order processing.
  • Guide pricing decisions in line with margin expectations.
  • Ensure all price lists are accurate, current, and aligned with Sales Management.
