Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Technician / Technologist / Engineer to join our growing Western Cape team. This role involves hands on design work, draughting, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on general and specialist civil projects.

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed designs/sketches/drawings/technical reports
  • Conduct site inspections and condition assessments
  • Regularly attends external / client meetings (design, project, construction)
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with design codes
  • Contribute to team collaboration and technical reviews
  • Assist in managing project timelines, budgets and deliverables
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

BSc/BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering

Professional Registration(s):

ECSA registration (ideal) or registered as a candidate with ECSA at a minimum

Years of Relevant Experience:

5+ years in civil engineering field.

Preferred Project Experience:

Water, wastewater, and road-related projects are ideal.

Technical Skills / Software Required:

Civil Designer and AutoCAD.

Soft Skills or Cultural Fit Qualities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Professional conduct with clients and contractors.

Travel or Relocation Required?

Travel for on site work purposes is reimbursable at V3 rates.

A valid driver's licence and own vehicle are required.

Working Hours / Schedule:

07:45-16:35, Monday to Friday

Salary Range or Budget (optional):

Dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Market-related.
