Overview

Reporting directly to Group leadership, the COO will have full accountability for plant operations and will act as the architect of operational excellence across the organisation. Key challenges and priorities include:

  • Leading a large industrial site with a workforce of employees, with further headcount growth planned
  • Driving world-class manufacturing standards across production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and HSE
  • Elevating export-grade quality, consistency, and compliance to meet demanding international markets
  • Introducing stronger operational governance, KPIs, and performance discipline
  • Optimising complex industrial processes and improving productivity at scale
  • Preparing the platform for capacity expansion and long-term industrial scalability
  • Acting as a trusted operational partner to shareholders and senior stakeholders

This role is suited to a leader who enjoys being close to the plant, visible on the floor, and hands-on in driving change.

The Successful Applicant

You are a senior operations leader with 15+ years' experience in complex, asset-heavy industrial manufacturing, ideally as COO, Operations Director, Plant Director, or VP Operations. You have exposure to export-oriented manufacturing and sectors such as heavy electrical, power equipment, cables, or metals. You excel in production, quality, supply chain, maintenance, HSE, and technically complex processes, leading large blue-collar teams (500+). You are structured, disciplined, execution-driven, credible with both shopfloor and senior stakeholders, and a proven change leader. Fluency in Arabic would be a strong plus.
