This well-known, world famous long standing 5 star lodge is looking for a Camp Manager to be responsible for the running of all aspects of the camp, including guests and staff. The camp manager must attend high level meetings with senior staff and connect all departments in a cohesive manner, including staff management with the HR team. Tasks include daily administration, task distribution, guest management, budgeting, financial management, managing each head of department and handling any emergencies.

Requirements
  • EEA candidates only
  • Matric
  • Qualification in Tourism or Hospitality
  • First aid level 1
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in a game lodge environment is ESSENTIAL
  • 2 - 3 years working experience in F & B
  • Valid drivers license and PDrP
  • Computer literate - Microsoft office and stock control systems
  • Strong leadership skills and staff management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both in speaking a and written
  • Proactive, must have good initiative skills and think outside the box with problem solving
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Strong work ethic and be able to work long long or flexible hours
  • Familiarity with fleet management, maintenance, building maintenance, HR management, crisis and emergency management
  • Excellent conflict management with staff and guests
  • Sober habits and in good health
  • Comfortable to recruit own team & be involved in disciplinary hearings
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Salary between R22,000.00 - R28,000.00 dependent on experience
  • Live in with meals
  • On-suite accommodation, serviced with wifi
