Job Description

  • Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests
  • Check guests in during the day and manage dietaries, children, or any other special requests
  • Implement and follow the BOPs
  • Host guests during the day - meet them when they return from drives and assist with any requests
  • Ensure all products that come into contact with guests are consistently of the correct standard
  • Check set-ups for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Ensure the main area is always tidy and styled according to the BOPs
  • Host guests at mealtimes and ensure the smooth running of service between the kitchen and waiters
  • Work closely with waiters and HODs to maintain a high service standard
  • Assist other departments as required
  • Host children's activities at the lodge
  • Provide superior service and quality to guests
  • Enjoy working with children and be creative when planning fun children's activities

Knowledge Required

  • Hospitality industry knowledge
  • Environmental awareness
  • Knowledge of surrounding communities
  • Knowledge of South Africa
  • Company knowledge (&Beyond as well as Wild Impact)
  • Valid unendorsed South African driver's license essential

Previous Work Experience Required

  • Experience in the service industry, particularly working with guests and staff
  • Previous Camp Manager / Safari Host experience is an advantage
  • Previous experience working with children is an advantage
