We are looking for a Business Development Team Lead to oversee and strengthen our outbound sales team in Cape Town, driving performance, execution excellence, and individual growth across the team.
What You'll DoOwn the performance of a team of Business Development Representatives, including activity, pipeline quality, and results
Coach BDRs using data and call insights to improve execution and consistency
Set clear standards for outbound quality, CRM hygiene, and handovers, and ensure they are followed
Run effective 1:1s, performance reviews, and feedback conversations
Identify risks early and address performance or behavioral issues directly and professionally
Lead by example through strong outbound knowledge and credibility
Work closely with Sales Leadership and Enablement to improve processes
Support hiring new team members and onboarding them
Bachelor's degree or higher
Minimum of 1-2 years of team leading experience in business development; ideally within a tech sales environment
Strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving revenue
Strong organizational skills, able to juggle people, priorities, and data with clarity and control
Clear and direct communication skills
Strong experience coaching from metrics and performance data
Hands on outbound sales experience and credibility
Native level English, written and spoken
