Role OverviewThis role exists to create volume at the top of the sales funnel. Your mission is simple: start conversations with the right employers and convert them into qualified first meetings for our senior commercial leaders.
This is a hands on, high activity role for someone who thrives on momentum, enjoys measurable results, and isn't afraid of rejection. You won't be closing deals, designing solutions, consulting or managing clients; your focus is purely on front end growth, generating opportunities and creating a healthy early stage pipeline.
This role is also a launchpad for growth. High performers can progress into senior business development, commercial or sales roles, industry specialist positions, or client facing consulting opportunities.
Core ResponsibilitiesMarket Activation and Prospecting
- Proactively identify and target potential employer prospects
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and referrals
- Initiate first conversations with HR, People, Rewards, and Finance leaders
- Book qualified first meetings for senior commercial and business leaders
Qualification and Handover
- Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria (size, intent, relevance)
- Capture accurate notes and context
- Hand over cleanly to the appropriate senior leader
- Maintain pipeline hygiene in CRM
- You do not own deals beyond first qualification
- Provide feedback from the market, including:
- Common objections
- Employer priorities
- Competitor positioning
- Help sharpen messaging based on real world insights
This is a numbers driven role, fully supported by coaching and structure. Your success in this role is measured by clear, tangible outcomes:
- Weekly outbound activity - the volume of your proactive outreach
- Meaningful conversations held - engaging with the right decision makers
- Qualified first meetings booked - turning conversations into opportunities for senior leaders
- Conversion rate - the percentage of conversations that result in meetings
- Early stage pipeline value created - the potential business you help generate
This is a numbers driven role, supported by coaching and structure.
- Has 1-5 years of B2B sales or outbound experience (with proven track record)
- Is comfortable with cold outreach and rejection
- Is energetic, resilient, and disciplined
- Can hit activity targets without needing constant supervision
- Is curious about business and people dynamics
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Experience in HR, benefits, insurance, SaaS, or professional services is an advantage - but not essential
