Job Description

Business Development Manager - Remote Monitors The Role

This role focuses on selling remote in-property monitoring solutions that help landlords take a proactive approach to managing their buildings. The technology uses sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, and heating system performance, enabling identification of issues such as damp and mould, improved efficiency, and reduced avoidable costs. You will sell these solutions to housing providers and public-sector organisations across the North West, taking responsibility for developing new business and managing the full sales process from initial engagement through to close and follow-up. The role involves building strong relationships with housing organisations and their appointed contractors to support better long-term outcomes.

The Company

You will be representing a growing technology business operating within the housing and building management sector. The company develops solutions designed specifically for residential properties, with a strong focus on social housing and public-sector environments. The business has built strong momentum in recent years and works with a wide range of housing providers across the United Kingdom.

The Person

This role suits someone comfortable presenting, with a genuine interest in winning new business and developing long-term relationships. Confidence, commercial awareness, and the ability to explain technology in a practical way are all important. A structured and disciplined approach is needed, particularly when it comes to managing opportunities, following up leads, and seeing conversations through to close. Experience within technology, housing, or public-sector sales would be beneficial, but the key requirement is the ability to engage and move discussions forward in a professional and credible manner.
