We're seeking a talented and disciplined BREAKFAST HEAD CHEF to lead the breakfast service at a group of restaurants in Parkhurst and Bryanston, Johannesburg.
This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a high volume, premium breakfast operation, ensuring consistency, creativity, and guest satisfaction across diverse dining concepts. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills, leadership ability, and a passion for delivering exceptional breakfast experiences.
Experience & Qualifications- Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification
- 4-6+ years' experience in premium casual or fine dining kitchens
- Proven expertise in breakfast service, menu development, and high volume execution
- 2+ years in a leadership role, managing breakfast brigades and junior chefs
- Strong knowledge of cost control, supplier coordination, and operational discipline
- Ability to balance creativity with consistency in a fast paced environment
- Lead breakfast kitchen operations
- Develop and execute innovative breakfast menus aligned with brand standards
- Oversee food costing, procurement, and supplier relationships with a focus on sustainability and profitability
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational standards
- Mentor and train breakfast chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of discipline and creativity
- Collaborate with management to align breakfast operations with overall business goals
