Your Tasks

Job Purpose

Long term growth of Beiersdorf Southern Africa through the continuous development of the brand portfolio in line with the overall company strategy and roadmap. Define and achieve specific net sales and market share objectives through the development and execution of the annual marketing plan

Job Accountabilities

Brand Management

  • Responsible for the deployment of global/regional mix & landing innovation and support OTIF.
  • Responsible for communication deployment, precision marketing assets and adaptations of global / regional playbooks, as aligned with the Region.
  • Regional alignment on all plans, trackers, launches, local market requirements (inc BDIs).
  • Completes business cases and tracks success of launches. Recommends RSP based on Business Cases. Recommends support plans.
  • Competitor monitoring and reporting of activity to local MU & Region. Competitor deep dives as required, with action planning. Monthly trackers and project updates to leadership teams.
  • Influencer selection and briefing
  • Responsible for development of annual Media & Sales Briefs.
  • Complete required analyses and template completion for annual brand planning process inc PMP, Sales Briefing and ABP
  • Align S&CM team on activity plans and go to market plans, with focus on best in class execution

Analytics

  • Responsible for NPD forecast volume review and assumptions, & regional alignment. Input into overall brand forecast review and completion.
  • Evaluate Brand performance, gather and interpret data & propose activities to rectify poor performance, and spot opportunity / gaps in the market
  • Responsible for developing and tracking Innovations monthly performance

Stakeholder Management

  • Responsible for the briefing and project mgmt. of creative, media, influencer, PR, Activation & Customer Service agencies - as required by the business.
  • Responsible for management of and forming relationship with the Regional teams

Marketing Insights

  • Responsible for keeping abreast of developments in market and in trade.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of NPD developments in their categories.
  • Input into claims development, and responsible for legal approval.

Project Management

  • Input into customer marketing plan priorities.
  • Responsible for project managing NPD/ Launch/Relaunch process within the business
  • With the support of Sales and S&CM ensure plans are effectively executed in trade on time.

Budget/Financial Management

  • Input into Annual marketing plan. Responsible for deployment of plan On Time in Full, within budget, according to all KPI's, with specific focus on Non Working Media.
  • Gives input/recommendation on investment based on ongoing tracking of SOA/SOM
  • Responsible for accurately managing allocated budgets throughout the year.
  • Responsible for accurate recons, and media PO tracking.
  • Responsible for maximising the return on investment by tracking ATL campaigns with scantrack and PLEs feedback into the business. Implement agreed course correction plans if necessary.
  • Responsible for pulling B1 reports, checking financials to M1 and highlighting any issues to MM.
Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 4 years brand management experience in FMCG industry
