Job Description

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times and greet all guests warmly and professionally in accordance with Leeu Collection standards.
  • Understand the sequence of service and anticipate guest needs.
  • Handle guest complaints and comments professionally, escalating to the Restaurant Manager / Manager on Duty when necessary.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the menu and wine list, making informed recommendations.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate service of drinks to pool and restaurant guests.
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of cocktails and be able to craft them on request.
  • Assist guests with non menu items, responding positively and accommodating special requests where possible.
  • Coffee station to be checked and re stocked for each service / shift to ensure a smooth barista service.
  • Perform cleaning tasks as required, including polishing cutlery and glassware, cleaning floors, fridges, windows & service areas i.e. buffet stations.
  • Light and maintain the fire in the restaurant and bar during winter months.
  • Accurately enter all transactions into the Easipos system.
  • Always complete your shift cash up and have the MOD check and sign it off.
Experience and Skills
  • At least 1 year experience in a similar position in a 5 star establishment
  • Must have bar set up, drinks service and bar hygiene knowledge, including excellent cocktail knowledge
  • Be familiar with operating procedures for all Food and Beverage machines, equipment and tools
  • Proficiency in POS systems (Easipos preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be guest service orientated
  • Matric
  • Wine certificate course/mixology training would be beneficial
