Babylonstoren is seeking a passionate and skilled Barista Specialist to join our team. If you love coffee and take pride in crafting the perfect cup, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of coffee beans and flavour profiles.
  • Ability to consistently prepare a variety of coffee styles (espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, americano, etc.) to a high standard.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills - friendly, professional, and welcoming.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English, with professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy under pressure, especially during peak hours.
  • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail, ensuring machines and workstations are always clean.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration with fellow shop staff.
  • Experience with handling cash and card payments.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages to consistently meet high-quality standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer experiences through professional, welcoming, and efficient service.
  • Maintain coffee machines and workstations in a clean and hygienic condition.
  • Follow food safety, health, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Accurately process cash and card transactions.
  • Support the shop team with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
