A great career opportunity exists at CyberPro Consulting for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect / AWS Cloud Engineer to join our delivery team.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients to design, implement, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS cloud solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical professional who can contribute directly to project delivery while providing technical leadership and best practice guidance across cloud initiatives.

Role Purpose

To design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable AWS solutions for client environments, supporting cloud transformation, migration, and modernisation initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Client Engagement
  • Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and design customised AWS solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure AWS environments using industry best practices.
  • Provide architecture guidance, technical recommendations, and thought leadership to clients and internal teams.
  • Act as a hands-on technical contributor implementing AWS infrastructure, migrations, and modernisation activities.
  • Deliver production-ready AWS environments and support end-to-end project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
DevOps & Automation
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
  • Build and manage infrastructure using tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Ensure solutions are optimised for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to junior team members.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with AWS technologies, trends, and best practices.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience designing and deploying AWS solutions.
  • Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • At least 5 years' technical experience with cloud technologies and/or on-premise infrastructure.
  • Proven experience delivering AWS projects end-to-end in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of AWS architecture, networking, security, storage, and compute services.
  • Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, and network security.
  • Hands-on experience implementing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • AWS certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or similar).
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with serverless technologies including AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
