A global health NPO is seeking a strategic and visionary Associate Director: Learning & Innovation to join its Senior Leadership Team. This is a high-impact role driving innovation, evidence-based practice, and community-led responses within the HIV and global health space. This is a Remote role based in South Africa and International Travel will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead a dynamic Learning & Innovation function, shaping organisational strategy and ensuring the development, synthesis, and dissemination of evidence that strengthens resilient HIV responses-particularly in crisis contexts. You will play a key representative role both regionally and globally, influencing policy, fostering partnerships, and advancing scalable, cost-effective solutions.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven senior leadership experience within a complex, international organisation
  • Strong expertise in HIV and/or global health, with exposure to health systems, human rights, or crisis response
  • Solid background in research, monitoring & evaluation, and evidence translation into policy and practice
  • Demonstrated experience in advocacy, partnership development, and influencing at a senior level
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams in agile, multicultural environments
Advantageous
  • Experience working across the Global South and/or North
  • Exposure to crisis or humanitarian health contexts
  • Programme oversight and fundraising experience
  • Multilingual capability
