Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Report on process performance and implement improvements
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyse production data to identify and mitigate risks
  • Oversee chemical handling and safety in production inputs
  • Manage and reduce waste, ensuring proper consumable usage
  • Draft and submit monthly maintenance and performance reports
  • Ensure product quality and prevent deviations
  • Collaborate with the mill team to deliver on production KPIs
  • Maintain compliance with EH&S and company policies
  • Support the Sales department by maintaining existing clients, growing market share, and ensuring professional and efficient customer service delivery
  • Support plant operations by maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, assisting with breakdowns, and ensuring machinery runs efficiently
  • Manage and optimise all milling plant operations, ensuring performance standards are met through continuous process improvement, risk analysis, and efficiency tracking
  • Manage and support day to day lab operations, ensuring quality control, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement across the plant
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering (minimum requirement)
  • 5-8 years' experience in Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Proven experience in process optimisation within a production environment
