Job Description

We deliver tangible results for global businesses, their investors, and stakeholders when complex problems arise, and critical decisions need to be made. Our diverse teams provide specialist technical knowledge combined with deep sector experience across our service line specialisms. Since our foundation in 2021, Interpath has grown rapidly, and we now have a presence across the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, South Africa, Algeria, BVI, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Barbados, Hong Kong and Singapore. By 2030 we aim to be one of the world's leading advisory firms with a truly global footprint.
The Special Projects team is responsible for the organic growth of Interpath, focusing on investment into new service lines, capabilities and performance improvement initiatives group wide. The team works in an agile and fast paced environment delivering high impact business outcomes.
We are seeking hands on Assistant Managers and Managers in Cape Town to support the delivery of strategic change projects and value creation initiatives alongside the senior leadership team and Executive Committee. The role combines commercial and financial analysis, programme delivery, and strong stakeholder engagement. It requires the ability to produce executive quality outputs, including presentations, steering packs and trackers, as well as judgment to challenge assumptions and keep initiatives focused on outcomes. The role will involve up to one or two trips per year to the UK and other Interpath offices.
Responsibilities- Support delivery of value creation plan, leading workstreams of complex projects and end to end of smaller initiatives, from scoping, implementation and benefits tracking.
- Lead the analytical work underpinning decisions, including business unit reviews and operating model assessments.
- Turn analysis into clear recommendations and action plans with owners, timelines and dependencies.
- Build and maintain benefits baselines and live trackers (milestones, benefits, risks and actions).
- Run governance and reporting for assigned programmes (plan, RAID, decision and action logs, steering packs).
- Produce decision ready materials for senior forums, including ExCo support and Board ready documents where required.
- Drive stakeholder follow up and action closure; escalated risks early and maintain clear decision trails.
- Apply commercial judgement and analysis to challenge assumptions and validate benefits.
- Contribute to playbooks and templates; mentor juniors and support team growth.
Do the right thing - Our comfort zone is uncomfortable. We always make the right decision, not simply what is easy or popular.
All hands on deck - stand shoulder to shoulder with colleagues and clients, be that physically or from afar. Our individual expertise may find the answers, but implementation happens through teamwork.
Passion drives success - The impossible is always possible. We push the boundaries of what is expected because we're never satisfied with the status quo. Our clients expect the right result when they engage with us, and it's only by delivering this that we win.
Embrace different - cultures to mindsets, we welcome all. We believe that people are equal, but not the same.
Education and Experience Required- Accounting qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA(SA) / CFA (or equivalent).
- 3-6 years' experience in Transaction Services / Deals, Value Creation, operational transformation, or strategy & transformation within a professional services environment.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce clear, executive-level outputs under pressure.
- Proven experience delivering end to end projects/workstreams, managing multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Confident engaging senior stakeholders, driving action closure, and operating with discretion.
- Exposure to client facing value creation, post deal integration, operating model redesign, or portfolio improvement is highly desirable.
- Power BI, financial/modelling capability, or project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent) are advantageous.
- A commercially minded, structured problem solver who simplifies complexity and turns ambiguity into clear next steps.
- Highly organised, hands on, and accountable with strong judgement and follow through; French, German, or Spanish language skills a plus.
At Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business. That's why we provide employees with a competitive and comprehensive reward package including compelling salaries and a range of core and optional benefits. Read more about our benefits; Company Benefits - Interpath
