Assistant Depot Manager

• Assist the Depot Manager with daily depot operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Support the implementation and maintenance of operational, safety, and maintenance standards
• Oversee and assist with ground preparation, silo bag layout, and measurement processes
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices
• Coordinate fumigation and grain grading processes in line with industry standards
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring effective task allocation and performance management
• Maintain accurate administrative records and operational documentation
• Identify and mitigate operational risks within the depot environment
• Assist in planning and executing depot activities to meet operational targets
• Ensure a safe and well maintained working environment at all times

• Agricultural tertiary qualification
• Relevant certifications in:
  • Fumigation
  • Grading of wheat
  • Health and Safety accreditation
• 3-5 years' experience in a silo bag or assistant depot management role
• Strong operational background with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Solid staff management and interpersonal skills
• Preventative maintenance mindset within an agricultural environment
• Good planning, organizational, and problem solving abilities
• Strong administrative skills
• Self managed, proactive, and detail oriented
• Sound understanding of agricultural risks, specifically within a wheat focused environment
• Experience with On Farm Depots (OFDs) will be advantageous
