Anti Trafficking Field Officer

Love Justice International (LJI) is a Christian nonprofit driven by a singular mission: to share the love of Jesus Christ by fighting the world's greatest injustices. We pursue this work through expanding anti human trafficking efforts and caring for orphaned and abandoned children.

We are looking for faith based, compassionate, and mission driven problem solvers who think deeply about how to fight injustice and share Christ's love in a broken world.

Our location: Ballito, South Africa; based here with travel throughout Africa and Asia.

Position: Full Time; Salaried for candidates residing in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Core Process Installation - Work closely with LJI core process Leads and LJI Regional Stewards to install necessary core processes.
    • Installation may often take place through video calls, emails, and occasionally in person training in the field.
  • Core Process Compliance - After installation, assist the core process Lead in closely tracking compliance of one or more core processes.
    • Follow up training will often stem from compliance monitoring work; Field Officers will be expected to take initiative to ensure national partners understand what is required of them.
  • Anti Trafficking Pilot Projects - Assist in new project ideas as part of the anti trafficking program team; individual passions, skills, and expertise will be considered.

Qualifications
  • Mission & Faith Alignment
    • Mature Christian faith and agreement with our Global Value to "Abide in Christ."
    • Knowledge, understanding, and agreement with how the Christian Gospel ministers to "the least of these" and guides us in our mission.
    • Agreement with our Core Value "Be the Kingdom" (in mission execution and personal conduct).
    • Acknowledgment of our Statement of Faith.
    • Passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations.
  • Education & Experience
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the position; master's degree or higher preferred.
    • 3+ years of significant experience in a relevant field, including business, finance, accounting, legal, data analysis, security, human resources, and human assessments; an experienced trainer is highly preferred.
  • Competencies & Skills
    • Proficiency in French is highly preferred.
    • Proficiency with Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets, and working in spreadsheets.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work well in cross cultural contexts and sensitivity to different cultures; experience working cross culturally preferred.
    • Willingness and ability to travel approximately one week every six weeks.
