Airport Firefighter: Aircraft Rescue & Emergency Response

As a Firefighter Grade 3, you will support the AR&FFS department during aircraft movements, focusing on saving lives, protecting property, and preventing fires. Your responsibilities will include responding to emergencies during flight operations, airport operational hours, and after-hours if required. Additionally, you will ensure firefighting vehicles and equipment are well-maintained for immediate response and provide emergency medical assistance when needed.

• Minimum education: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
• BA Apparatus training required.
• Hazmat Awareness certification.
• Completion of a Fire Fighter course up to Level 1 (SAESI accredited).
• At least 1 year of experience in a recognized professional Emergency Services Department or Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Services.
• Experience as a Fire Tender driver/operator, including off-road driving.
