We are seeking a detail-driven AFS Quality Assurance Specialist to play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and professionalism of our clients' Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
This role is pivotal in ensuring that every set of financial statements leaving the firm is accurate, consistent, compliant, and presentation-perfect. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of financial reporting frameworks such as IFRS, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
About the Role The Calling Over process is a crucial quality control step within Client Accounting and Audit. You will be responsible for performing a comprehensive final review of Annual Financial Statements before they are issued to clients - ensuring technical accuracy, logical consistency, and professional presentation throughout.
Errors at this stage reflect directly on the firm, so precision and accountability are key.

  • Perform detailed casting of final Annual Financial Statements
  • Review DataSnipper outputs to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Clearly identify and mark issues, updating typing instructions with initials and dates
  • Call every page of the AFS from cover to final page, checking:
    • Spelling and wording
    • Consistency and formatting
    • Page numbering
    • Classifications and reconciliations
    • Cross-references between SOCI, SOFP, cash flows, and notes
  • Ensure the Statement of Financial Position (SOFP) balances and agrees across all statements and notes
  • Reperform and review cash flow calculations where applicable and confirm alignment with the SOFP
  • Escalate uncertainties or potential financial statement impacts promptly
  • Strong understanding of applicable accounting frameworks (including IFRS)
  • Solid knowledge of financial statement structures and linkages
  • Previous experience within audit, client accounting, or financial reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Ability to work methodically and independently
  • High level of accountability and professional standards
