A well-established accounting practice is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead a team and manage client portfolios, with a strong focus on performing and reviewing VAT reconciliations and SARS submissions, drafting and reviewing financial statements, reviewing general ledger reconciliations and accounting records, explaining financial information to clients, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and supervising and mentoring junior accountants.

  • Registered with a recognised professional body
  • 3-5 years' experience within an accounting practice
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise a team
  • Experience managing multiple client portfolios and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients
  • Highly organised and deadline-driven
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior accountants or trainees
