We are looking for a South Africa-based professional to support the SADC market. The role of Account Manager, Channel Distribution, is focused on driving incremental revenue, expanding sales opportunities across all verticals, and building strong, long-term relationships with in-country IT distributors and channel partners.

Schneider Electric's Secure Power business focuses on providing highly efficient and reliable solutions for critical power needs.

These include:

  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS): Offering both single-phase and three-phase.
  • UPS systems to ensure continuous power availability.
  • Data Center Solutions: Prefabricated systems designed for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Cooling Solutions: Advanced cooling technologies to maintain optimal operating conditions for sensitive equipment.
  • Remote Monitoring and Maintenance: Services to monitor and maintain power systems 24/7, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

What will you do?

  • Revenue Growth: Increase Schneider Electric's share of wallet and revenue in the South Africa region.
  • Sales Achievement: Achieve Secure Power product sales through IT and E-commerce channels.
  • Target Definition: Define ITCH sales targets for partners and generate new Tier II business opportunities by driving the Schneider portfolio through our distribution partners and E-commerce operators within key markets.
  • Support: Provide support to all Schneider Electric businesses within the region.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement end user channel distribution strategies to drive sales growth and market share.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with channel partners, distributors, and end users to support business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure effective execution of distribution strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and management insights.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Engineering, IT, Business, Marketing, or Science preferred).
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in the distribution business, with a preference for experience with Secure Power products and portfolio.
  • Ability to integrate into multi cultural environments and perform in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Solid understanding of the IT market, market trends, customer needs, and partner performance.
  • Experience in multi tiered customer and channel approaches.
  • Excellent contacts with significant corporations and channel partners in the cluster.
