Introduction

MANCOSA, a DHET registered and CHE accredited private Higher Education distance provider, offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate qualifications, has/have the following vacancy/vacancies available:

Human Resource Management or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations (UG/PG).

CORE PURPOSE:

To provide Academic Leadership across a range of Undergraduate/Postgraduate education programmes.

CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Module Coordinator for area of specialisation (SME)
  • To facilitate face-to-face and online lectures
  • Develop, review and moderate curriculum and assessments.
  • Provide Academic consultation support.
  • Grade assessments and provide stakeholder feedback.
  • Undertake programme and module reviews.
  • Active involvement in research and publishing
  • Identify students at-risk and execute pastoral care.
  • Undertake programme and quality management administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATION(S)

An appropriate doctoral level qualification or specialist Master level qualification in Human Resource Management or related fields including Industrial / Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development and Labour Relations.

South African Board of People Practices (SABPP) professional registration (will be advantageous)

EXPERIENCE
  • 3 years' teaching experience in a higher education institution, with demonstrated competence in curriculum delivery and assessment.
  • Demonstrate research engagement over the last 3 years
RELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
  • Be familiar with higher, distance and online education.
  • Be familiar with using learning management systems.
  • Demonstrate applied knowledge of the South African Higher Education Regulatory Framework: including HEQSF, NQF, CHE, DHET, SAQA, and QAF. With practical integration into curriculum design, delivery, assessment, and institutional quality assurance across public and private institutions.
  • Must be able to work within pre-determined time frames and deadlines.
  • Must be able to speak confidently and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Must be a collegial team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet, and Email)
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills
  • Possess a high level of ethics and confidentiality.
