8110 Fixed-term Lab Assistant: ECP (P11) FACULTY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES Department of Clinical Sciences Bloemfontein Campus

Main purpose of the job

To provide academic, administrative, and technical assistance for the programme and to maintain laboratories/equipment and inventory.

Main tasks
  1. Maintain laboratories, equipment, and inventory
  2. Purchase relevant equipment/inventory
  3. Marketing
  4. Academic administration
  5. Technical academic support

Nature of appointment: Three (3) year Fixed-term Appointment

Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed)

Accordingly, the preferred candidate may expect an offer that is in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
  • Relevant NQF Level 7 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant field in Health Sciences.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a relevant field Administration / Laboratory management and related work in foundation provision (ECP) .
  • Experience in laboratory and simulation work for ECP students.
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
  • Relevant NQF 8 qualification in Health Sciences.
