Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Jr. Shoe Repair Specialist to join our team at CASMERA Shoe Repair and Leather Boutique. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and longevity of our clients' footwear through expert repair and maintenance services. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Duties • Perform repairs on various types of footwear, including but not limited to half soles, full soles, and heel replacements. • Operate specialized shoe repair equipment, including sanding and polishing machines, sewing machines, and sole pressers, to complete tasks efficiently. • Assess shoes to determine the best course of action for repair, ensuring durability and a high-quality finish. • Provide excellent customer service by discussing repair options, timelines, and costs with clients. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. • Collaborate with team members to learn advanced repair techniques and contribute to a supportive work environment. • Uphold CASMERA’s commitment to quality craftsmanship by paying close attention to detail in all repairs and finishes. Requirements • Experience with or willingness to learn shoe repair techniques and operating repair tools and machinery. • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. • Basic math skills to measure, calculate, and execute precise repairs. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Eagerness to learn and grow within the shoe repair industry. • Ability to life up to 25 lbs. • Fluent in English and Spanish. What You’ll Do: • Serve as the first point of contact for online customers, assisting with customer inquiries and items being shipped in for repair. • Learning the skill of quoting items for repair • Build strong, lasting relationships by providing personalized and memorable customer experiences. • Handle escalated inquiries and complaints with professionalism, finding efficient and effective solutions. • Perform accurate data entry to maintain detailed customer records. • Answer phones, follow up with customers, and communicate effectively via phone and email interactions. • Take on new challenges every day in a fast-paced environment that values problem-solving and attention to detail. What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for passionate individuals with a customer-first mindset who thrive in fast-paced environments. • An energetic and reliable self-starter with a strong customer focus. • Excited to communicate with 50+ customers per day via email or phone. • A skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, with exceptional organizational skills. • Previous experience in customer service is required; luxury fashion experience is a major plus! • Proficient in English (Spanish bilingual skills are a plus!) • Willing to work Saturdays is a major plus (8am-2pm) • This position requires excellent communication skills tailored around having great customer experience.
