Duties
• Inspect and diagnose drainage problems.
• Utilize pipe threading techniques for effective installation and repair of piping systems.
• Operate commercial vehicles to transport tools and materials to various job sites.
• Perform routine maintenance on drainage systems, including cleaning and unclogging pipes.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations and repairs.
• Employ hand tools effectively for various maintenance person tasks, including carpentry work when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in plumbing or related fields is preferred.
• Experience working on construction sites is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations are required.
• Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary for commercial driving duties.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential traits for success in this role.

Residential Service Plumber – Freeland, PA (Full-Time) $25–$35+/hr DOE.
American Rooter is looking for an experienced Residential Service Plumber to join our busy, high-performing team based in Freeland, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals who take pride in their work and are looking to grow with a company that’s trusted across Pennsylvania.
Our Freeland office handles a high volume of sewer and drain service calls, in addition to a wide range of residential plumbing repairs and replacements. We are seeking plumbers with proven experience in main sewer line cleanings and in-depth knowledge of internal plumbing systems — from water heaters and disposals to drain repairs and fixture installations.
Position Summary:
As a Residential Service Plumber at American Rooter, you will be responsible for:
Sewer & Drain Responsibilities:
• Performing high-volume main sewer line cleanings using professional equipment (sewer snakes, hydro-jetters, and sewer cameras)
• Conducting video inspections and locating problem areas with precision
• Diagnosing causes of blockages and performing effective, long-term solutions
• Responding promptly to emergency backups and high-priority service calls
• Maintaining cleanliness, professionalism, and safety on every job site
Internal Plumbing Responsibilities:
• Water heater diagnostics, repairs, and replacements
• Repairing or replacing leaking fixtures, shutoff valves, faucets, drains, and garbage disposals
• Water and drain line repairs, including vertical soil stacks and piping upgrades
• Troubleshooting residential plumbing issues and offering expert solutions
• Communicating clearly and professionally with homeowners about the work performed
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking candidates who are dependable, experienced, and customer-focused, with the following qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in sewer and drain cleaning, preferably in a high-volume environment
• Skilled in the use of hydro-jetters, augers, sewer cameras, and locators
• Experience with residential plumbing repairs, including water heaters, fixtures, and drainage systems
• Ability to diagnose plumbing problems, explain solutions clearly, and complete repairs independently
• Clean and professional appearance with a focus on customer service excellence
• Must be able to work in crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor environments
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Must pass background check and drug screening
