Rebar Ironworker Journey As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the installation and placement of reinforcing steel in concrete forms. We are seeking an experienced Rebar Ironworker to join our team. If you have a strong understanding of blueprints and elevations, along with experience in rigging operations, connections, and disconnections, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Selecting rods, bundles, measuring, cutting to length, bending, and shaping reinforcing bar to exacting specifications. • Placing rods in forms, spacing, and fastening them together using wire and pliers. • Positioning and securing steel bars in concrete forms and reinforcing concrete. • Cutting bars to required lengths using hacksaws, band saws, or acetylene torches. • Bending steel rods with hickey bars or rod-bending machines. • Assisting in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation. • Cleaning and performing minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment. • Restocking supplies and materials as necessary. Requirements: • A minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience. • The ability to safely traverse uneven terrain with/without tools and building materials. • The ability to climb vertical ladders and work above ground as necessary. • The safe operation of power tools and equipment. • The ability to climb rebar cages and walls and work at height while hanging from rebar structures. Working Conditions: This role requires working at heights, climbing ladders, and traversing uneven terrain. You must be able to safely perform these tasks and adhere to all safety procedures.
