Job Description
Under general supervision packages finished product coming off of production line. Performs simple visual quality inspection during packing process as well as verifying own work. Trained on several lines.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Performs work in compliance with standard operating procedures and rotates through various stations on the lines, where needed, to ensure production needs are met.
• Perform and complete accurate and timely quality check sheets as defined on machine checklist and understand noncompliant product holds and make corrective actions as needed.
• Perform to machine standard run rates, along increasing efficiency and reducing shrink by playing an active role with the team members to meet company goals.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work environment.
• Complies with safety policies, participates in the plant's safety program and is proactive with Safety concerns.
• Work environment includes, but is not limited to, the following known allergens – dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, wheat, soy, and egg.
Pay: $22.42/hr. Night shift will receive an additional $1.50/hr for night shift differential.
Shift/Hours: Approximate day shift start times are between 2:50 AM - 7:50 AM with normal shift lengths of 10 -12 hours. Approximate night shift start times are between 2:50 PM - 9:50 PM with normal shift lengths of 10 -12 hours. There may be times when the assigned main line may not be running and will require this position to work another line with a closely similar shift time. Schedules are done two weeks in advance. All lines require a degree of scheduling flexibility.

ABB Electrification is seeking an Assembler to join our team in Mebane, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and assembly of Motor Control Centers, LimitAmp assemblies, and their sub-assemblies, as well as various other electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies within the Electrification Division. Your work will be crucial in meeting production targets while adhering to established health and safety policies, as well as approved manufacturing systems, processes, and procedures. You will play an essential role in the order fulfillment cycle.
Your Role:
• Conduct all types of assembly work to produce a semi-finished or final product, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Support quality manufacturing goals, productivity, and on-time shipment goals.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline assembly processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
• Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate computerized to plate (CTP) imaging equipment controlling basic machine parameters.
• Image photographic anodized aluminum plates using contact printing equipment.
• Develop and inspect photographic plates.
• Seal and clean imaged plates.
• Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of photographic plate imaging / developing machinery and plate sealing baths, in accordance with company standards and machine manufacturers recommendations.
• Function as a press-helper in the screen printing operation by assisting with or performing some or all of the following duties:
• Pull and prepare materials for the screen printing operation.
• Screen making, stencil preparation and screen.
• Inspecting screen printed plates.
• Preparing or color matching inks for screen printing.
• Assist with set-up or tear-down of the screen printing presses.
• May train to become a qualified screen printing operator.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
• Previous experience, training or knowledge in photographic print making preferred;
• Previous experience, training or knowledge in screen printing a plus;
• Strong PC and Windows software skill;
• Strong mechanical aptitude a plus;
