In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship. What You Will Do
• Perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and vats by performing a variety of complex welding processes such as electric resistance, oxy acetylene or arc torches.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Develop solutions for various maintenance situations.
• Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Train and mentor maintenance employees.

What You Bring To Freeport
• Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in welding/cutting.
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

What you will be doing
Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The Mechanical Technician will perform mechanical functions and duties of inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Routine maintenance of centrifugal pumps and electric motors such as bearing and seal replacements, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, drain piping modifications, etc.
• Maintenance on other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, valve actuators, etc.
• Maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and associated components.
• Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
• Participate and successfully complete training programs, process safety management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Must meet the requirements of the Company's Operator Qualification program to perform identified covered tasks and remain compliant or work under the direct supervision and observation of an individual who has previously been qualified with the Company's and Code of Federal Regulation requirements.
• Reviews procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements.
• Properly completes records of time and required regulatory reports.
• Maintains close contact with the Area Supervisor regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to effect a minimum interruption of product throughput.

What Your Background Should Look Like (minimum Qualifications)

• You will independently perform limited boiler making tasks by applying established methods and techniques, and assists journeyman boilermakers in the performance of higher-level duties.
• You will assist in repairing tubes to include removing, plugging, window patching, annealing, bending, expanding, and installing tubes in boilers, heat exchangers, preheaters, and fuel oil heaters.

Hazards encountered in this rating are not unusual, except for furnace explosions, which happen occasionally due to the nature of fuel being burned. Adequate ladders, stairways, and protective guards are provided where feasible.
PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
