Cookie Notice Your Privacy Always Active The key purpose of this role is to provide packaging technical and operational support across the Breweries to drive performance improvement while enabling teams to meet their goals. This includes coaching on packaging processes and standards, resolving medium- to long-term stakeholder queries, collaborating with vendors and plant teams to implement technology-based solutions, and working cross-functionally with logistics, brewing, E&F, and capex teams to support 1YP deliverables. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Support breweries in safe working practices Support Breweries on VPO Conduct and lead performance optimization initiatives (line, plant and process capability studies) Support in the maintenance of packaging Standards, packaging Quality, methods, packaging knowledge base and benchmarks. Supporting the projects implementation (innovation, cost reduction, new packaging materials, new technologies, new materials etc Support Breweries in reducing losses in the processes, packaging, energy consumption, water usage including champions initiatives Support Breweries in the Total cycle of operational plant performance target setting, follow up & outcome Increasing the breweries capacity via Capex implementation or via debottlenecking Work closely with Brewing, Logistics, Packaging, Maintenance and Innovation teams for successful implementation and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives Technical Knowledge Specialized knowledge of the packaging process and quality standards In depth knowledge on maintenance processes and standards in Packaging In depth knowledge of Packaging GOP's and toolkits (internal candidates) Support Zone in value engineering and innovation Continuous Improvement Strong VPO knowledge and problem-solving ability Complete detailed data analysis and lead/ ITF Complete best in class benchmarking and support implement on focus packaging lines Support execution of Value Engineering projects and initiatives Define & execute innovation strategy (including benchmarking) Identify risks and develop mitigation plans Improve and manage packaging maintenance (asset management, predictive maintenance) and production reports Develop and continuously improve key performance indicators to measure value engineering benefits Key Attributes and Competencies: Ability to lead cross functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects Ability to define project scope, execution plan and team structure for project implementation Ability to manage and monitor scoping multiple projects concurrently Ability to communicate with and have impact and influence Excellent at owning, managing and driving change Communicates effectively by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding Minimum Requirements: University Degree Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field GCC Factories is an added advantage Experience in Engineering Specialist roles 2-3 FMCG Experience Sound knowledge packaging process and quality systems (internal candidates), such as machine SAP, Power BI, Grafana, Flow Experience with world class manufacturing principles Ability to understand the packaging production process in detail Ability to define, develop and execute testing plans for new technology products and infrastructure Must possess strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and how they relate to a business Additional Information: Band: VISAB/ABInBev is an equal opportunity employer and all appointments will be made in line with SAB/ABInBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.
