Workshop Controller- Motor Dealership Pretoria Gauteng

We have a high-impact job vacancy for a technically strong Workshop Controller within a busy motor dealership environment.

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Salary: R - R per month + incentives + Benefits

This role requires a Red Seal qualified artisan with deep technical expertise who can confidently manage workshop operations while maintaining the highest quality and efficiency standards.

Min Requirements:
  • Red Seal Mechanic qualification (non-negotiable)
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller in a motor dealership
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability across vehicle systems
  • Previous experience as a Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Senior Technician, or Foreman is highly advantageous and preferred
  • Excellent understanding of workshop processes, efficiency, and productivity metrics
  • BSI experience
  • Ability to lead technicians and drive performance under pressure
  • Valid driver's licence
Key Responsibilities:
  • Control and manage full workshop operations, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity
  • Diagnose and support technicians on complex technical issues
  • Ensure accurate job allocation based on skill level and workshop capacity
  • Monitor WIP, turnaround times, and job quality
  • Enforce strict quality control and OEM compliance standards
  • Liaise effectively with service advisors, parts department, and customers where required
