Job Description
Position Purpose
The Work Integrated Trainee is to provide practical workplace experience to students or recent graduates, helping them apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting. This role is designed to enhance employability by offering hands on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry specific tasks. The WIL trainee programme is conducted over a period of 12 months.
Position Outputs- Assist in specific projects within a department or work stream.
- Perform routine operational tasks under supervision.
- Support administrative functions, including documentation and reporting.
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programmes.
- Shadow experienced professionals to gain practical insights.
- Engage in problem solving activities to develop analytical skills.
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand business needs.
- Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and project progress.
- Serve as a central contact point for queries and assistance.
- Conduct market research, data collection, and analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare reports and presentations using MS Office tools.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all tasks.
- University of Technology students: B Eng Tech (S4/S5) - completed all theoretical subjects on Electronics and Industrial.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Preference will be given to applicants considered as South African Youth (under the age of 35).
