Westaways Coordinator

RealNZ is on the lookout for an experienced Westaways Coordinator to help bring to life one of our most iconic guest experiences at Walter Peak!

This isn't your typical hospitality or retail role. You'll be at the heart of the Woolshed experience, leading the day to day operation of both the Westaways Café and Retail Store. From delivering seamless service and driving sales, to creating a warm and memorable atmosphere for every guest, you'll play a key role in shaping unforgettable moments on Lake Whakatipu.

Working across both food & beverage and retail, you'll lead from the front, supporting your team, optimising service flow, maintaining high standards, and ensuring everything runs like clockwork. Whether it's a busy café service, a retail rush, or a special guest moment, you'll bring energy, leadership, and attention to detail every step of the way.

To succeed in this role, you'll be a natural leader with strong hospitality and/or retail experience, who is 100% guest focused and thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Your ability to coach teams, manage operations, and deliver exceptional service will ensure every guest leaves with a lasting impression.

• Previous leadership experience in hospitality and/or retail
• Strong operational knowledge across F&B and/or retail environments
• Experience with stock management, cash handling, and POS systems
• The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a high volume environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, hands on approach with strong attention to detail

• Food safety certification
• Barista or bar experience
• Experience working with suppliers or product development
