Job Description

JG Afrika is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer

The role involves site work and may require travel at short notice. A full and valid driver's licence is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The design of wastewater infrastructure
  • Project management of multidisciplinary projects
  • Preparing contract documentation
  • Contract administration
  • Supporting Green Drop and Blue Drop compliance
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A Master's in Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes is a strong advantage.
  • A BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering will also be considered, providing you have experience in municipal wastewater treatment design and project management. Please provide evidence on your CV.
  • Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist, or close to registration.
  • A valid driver's licence.
Experience:
  • At least 8 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design and contract administration, with good knowledge of treatment plant processes.
Skills:
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills are a requirement.
  • Strong and demonstratable technical skills in the Engineering space.
  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, Word and MS Project.
