Job Description

JG Afrika is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer

The role involves site work and may require travel at short notice. A full and valid driver's licence is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • The design of wastewater infrastructure
  • Project management of multidisciplinary projects
  • Preparing contract documentation
  • Contract administration
  • Supporting Green Drop and Blue Drop compliance
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a BSc, BEng, or BTech in Civil Engineering
  • Master's in Water and Wastewater Treatment Processes is a strong advantage
  • BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering with experience in municipal wastewater treatment design and project management (provide evidence on CV)
  • Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist, or close to registration
  • Valid driver's licence
Experience

At least 8 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure design and contract administration, with good knowledge of treatment plant processes.

Skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong and demonstratable technical skills in the engineering space
  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel, Word and MS Project
