FMCG / Retail / Wholesale / Supply Chain / Warehousing

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage warehouse operations, ensure stock accuracy, and maintain compliance with company standards. The role is responsible for efficient warehouse management, stock control, reporting, and health & safety compliance, while also leading and developing warehouse staff.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) - essential
  • Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (NQF 5)

Experience

  • 6-8 years' experience in warehouse management or stock control
  • Proven experience supervising warehouse teams and managing stock

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Computer literate (MS Office, SAP, ERP systems, and job specific software)
  • Strong understanding of stock management principles (FIFO, cycle counts, reconciliations)
  • Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and operational processes
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy in reporting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Willingness to travel to SDA locations (Bethlehem & Upington) as required
Job Duties

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage stock levels, conduct FIFO checks, and ensure stock accuracy
  • Perform daily and weekly cycle counts and reconcile monthly stock, including scrap and rotations
  • Maintain stock of small parts and packing materials
  • Compile monthly exception reports (claims and rotations)
  • Ensure full health and safety compliance in the warehouse
  • Log, investigate, and manage customer complaints
  • Manage SDA stock levels and conduct stock counts at SDA locations as required

People Management

  • Identify training needs and implement employee development plans
  • Address employee relations matters fairly and promptly
  • Ensure HR policies are successfully implemented within the warehouse
  • Maintain a motivated and high-performing team
