Job Description

Bidfood Queenstown are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dayshift Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring picking wholesale customer food orders from the dry store, chillers, freezers and fresh produce department, packing order and loading trucks. The role will also involve assisting with receiving, checking and storage of inwards goods, replenishment, cleaning and other warehouse tasks. Forklift work is required in this role and support and license training will be provided. The roster will be 6am start time and approximately 8 hour shifts over 5 days. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed and maximum of 60 hours per week. The hourly rate is from $27.00-$28.00 depending on relevant qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Organize and store products in the warehouse following safety protocols.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or foodservice environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
