Vacancy: Supermarket Floor Supervisor - Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal
Job Description
Our Client, a leader in the retail industry, is seeking to appoint an experienced Floor Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The Floor Supervisor will oversee and direct the daily activities, schedules, and assignments of employees, handle customer queries, resolve issues, and manage inventory storage, loading of customer orders, and deliveries. Applicants must reside in and around Pietermaritzburg.
Duties & Responsibilities- Oversee receipt and verification of incoming goods; ensure goods are offloaded, stored, and verified according to policy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure orderly storage of incoming goods; keep detailed records of product locations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, including weekly random checks and monthly thorough checks.
- Delegate fulfillment of customer orders to staff; update inventory database accordingly.
- Ensure stock rotation using FIFO method.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Diploma, Degree, or equivalent required, with at least 3 years of related experience preferred.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of store procedures and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Strong background in the FMCG industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
