Job Description

FEM is looking to appoint an Underwriting Administrator at our Head Office. The purpose of the position is to provide an underwriting administrative service, including the underwriting financial administration of FEM.

Reporting to the Underwriting Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of the registration documents, capturing new policy assessments, calculating wages and obtaining and completing the final Return of Earnings.

Furthermore, to review the payroll information submitted and assist policyholders by explaining the return of earnings process and premium assessment.

The minimum requirement of the position is Matric with good functional literacy in English. A certificate or diploma in finance, accounting or bookkeeping is an advantage. At least 1 years' experience in underwriting, finance or in a related environment. Knowledge of the COID Act will be a distinct advantage. Excellent customer focus, the ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, quality orientation, reliability, and excellent communication complete our requirements.

We have offices regionally in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg. This position is based at our Head Office in Rosebank.
