Job Description
The successful candidate for Bram Fischer International Airport will be reporting to the Manager Maintenance Engineering, and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Key Performance Output- Audits, monitor processes and adherence to standards and participate in root cause analysis.
- Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities and assist artisan with infrastructure maintenance and routine inspections as and when required.
- Manage work areas and keep work areas clean and free from debris (workshops/substations/etc.)
- Give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
- Manage tools and keep register of tools issued to Electrician.
- Provide insight into studies on upgrades/replacements of assets.
- Provide input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the assets.
- Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
- Liaison and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient operations.
- Provide input into all relevant reports.
- Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
- Engage with relevant Stakeholders on report findings.
The following skills and experience will be required:
- National Senior Certificate (N3 Electrical Engineering) is essential.
- 1-year Operational Maintenance is recommended.
- Code B Motor vehicle license is advantageous.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment and tolls.
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
