Tipper Truck Driver
Job Description
A Sandton-based high end construction and development company is currently delivering a premium build project on a large wildlife farm in Limpopo. They require a responsible and experienced Code 14 Back Tipper Truck Driver to transport staff and materials safely for the duration of the project. This role is central to maintaining smooth site operations and supporting the construction team. The role is site based during the week. Staff are transported to site on Mondays and return to Johannesburg on Fridays. Following this project, the successful candidate may be deployed to other projects within the group.
What you bring to the table- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Clear criminal record (essential due to protected wildlife on the property)
- Own reliable vehicle
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Minimum 5+ years' proven experience driving heavy articulated vehicles, specifically back tippers
- Stable work history
- Strong understanding of truck mechanics and site safety regulations
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in remote environments
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Medically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Safely drive heavy duty articulated Tipper trucks to transport materials on site and over long distances
- Operate the hydraulic tipping mechanism to unload materials correctly and safely
- Ensure all loads comply with legal weight limits and safe handling standards
- Maintain accurate trip sheets, delivery notes, and logbooks
- Perform pre trip and post trip vehicle inspections, reporting faults promptly
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks including cleaning and greasing, and report mechanical defects immediately
- Transport construction staff safely to and from the site on Mondays and Fridays
- Adhere strictly to road and site safety regulations
- Work irregular hours including overtime and weekends as required
- Assist with alternative duties on site when truck related work is not scheduled
- Mature, dependable and safety conscious

- Comfortable working in remote, rugged environments
- Professional, responsible, and able to operate with minimal supervision
