Temporary Lecturer Posts - Pretoria Campus

Salary: R per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Duration: April 2022 to December 2022

Application Requirements

Candidate Qualifications
  • Matric certificate plus an appropriate M+3 qualification (National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree) in the specified field/subject.
  • National Teacher Qualification.
  • Computer literacy - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SACE registration.
  • Assessor/Moderator qualification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of legislation governing the sector.
Responsibilities
  • Lecture NCV programmes: Provide academic support to learners, promote quality teaching and learning, prepare lesson plans and tasks appropriate to student level, conduct classes, organize relevant curricular activities in line with latest subject policy.
  • Administration: Assess and record learner attainment.
  • Assist with issuing and retrieving textbooks and managing equipment.
  • Classroom management and supervision.
  • Report and account for student performance in their programmes.
  • Record and report absenteeism, and perform other duties within teaching and learning, maintaining professional ethics, motivation and punctuality.
  • Ensure conducive teaching and learning culture and environment; apply appropriate measures in student discipline cases.
  • Attend student related activities (student excursions, work based exposure monitoring and WIL).
